The Lions are coming into this game with a 3-1 record this season and they are coming off of their bye week so they will be ready to go for this game. Their offense has been playing much better recently, scoring 42 points in their last game, and they are going to come out of this bye with some motivation since they have 1 of the 2 undefeated teams left in the league in their own division. They are going up against a Cowboys team that is 3-2 this season and have won 2 straight games, but their offense has not been great in these. They have only scored 20 points in each of their last 2 games and their offense has taken a big step back from where it was last season. The defense has also taken a big step back as they are feeling the loss of Dan Quinn as their DC. Their defense has been much better in their last 2 games, but they played against 2 teams that have struggled offensively all season, the Steelers and the Giants. Their run defense was better in those 2 games, but they did get shredded on the ground by both the Ravens and the Saints earlier this season. Both of those teams have very strong run games and now the Cowboys are going to face another strong running team in the Lions who have 2 very good running backs in Montgomery and Gibbs. When one is not having a good day, the other picks up the slack, and sometimes they both get going which can be an absolute menace for defenses. Goff has also been playing much better in the passing game and this run game is going to open that up for him to shred them through the air as well. The Vikings are the talk of the NFL right now, but this is a statement game for the Lions to come out of their bye week and show the league they are still the division champions and the true threat in the NFC.
