BYU is coming into this game with a 7-0 record this season and they are 4-0 in the conference, but recently they have struggled more in their last 3 games. They beat Baylor 34-28 but that was a game their defense got them out to an early lead and almost blew it by the end. They followed that up with a great win at home over Arizona 41-19, but now they are coming off of a much closer 38-35 win over Oklahoma State in their last game. They needed a last minute TD to win that game in the end, but they struggled at home against a desperate OK State team, and they are going to be getting another desperate team here but on the road this time. They are going up against a UCF team that is 3-4 this season and 1-4 in the conference, but they badly need a win with 4 straight losses. They have played in much closer games over their last 3 and their last game was the closest so far, almost knocking off an undefeated Iowa State team on the road, losing 38-35 in the end. Now UCF is back at home and this team is ripe for a win while BYU is ripe for a loss. UCF has a very good rushing attack as they are averaging 280.3 rushing yards per game and 6 yards per carry. They will be able to move the ball on the ground here as BYU is allowing 141.6 rushing yards per game and 4.2 yards per carry. UCF also has a good run defense themselves and BYU has been relying a lot on the run game and specifically on their defense in a lot of their wins. They have been giving up more points in recent games though and this will be the game where they really struggle to defend this powerful UCF run game. UCF will cover the spread in this game.
