Arizona State is coming into this game with a 5-2 record this season and they are 2-2 in the conference. They have won 2 of their last 3 games, but they are coming off of a 24-14 road loss to Cincinnati in their last game and they have lost their last 2 straight games on the road as well. They have only won 1 of their 3 road games this season and that win came in a non-conference game against Texas State near the beginning of the season. They are going up against an Oklahoma State team that is 3-5 this season and they are 0-5 in the conference. Oklahoma State had a promising start to the season as they were 3-0 and were even ranked in those first few weeks, but now they have lost 5 straight games and all of them coming in conference play. It started with a 22-19 loss at home to Utah and they fell apart from there, getting blown out by Kansas State and West Virginia in their next 2 games. They are coming off of a 38-28 loss on the road to Baylor in their last game, but they have played much better in their last 2 games as they have scored 28+ points in both and almost beat BYU on the road who is still undefeated this season, losing that game 38-35. They are going to be hungry to bounce back at home as they have played much better there most of the season, but they are also going to be desperate to win a conference game as they currently sit at the bottom of the Big 12 as the only winless team in conference play. Oklahoma State has not had a strong run game this season, but they will have success against this defense that has been giving up a lot of yards on the ground recently. Oklahoma State is also a more pass heavy team anyway and teams have been able to move the ball through the air against them in their last few games. Oklahoma State has not had a good defense this season and they have been getting smashed on the ground in their games, which will be a problem against this Arizona State rushing attack that has been very good all year, but Arizona State is going to keep this game on the ground and will not be able to run away with it. Oklahoma State also has the passing offense to make a comeback if they need one and they are going to be playing with desperation here. This has not been the season they had hoped for, but Oklahoma State can still salvage it by becoming bowl eligible and they are going to get up at home to win their 1st conference game of the season.
