Texas A&M is coming into this game with a 7-1 record this season and they are 5-0 in the conference. They had a rough start to the season with a 23-13 loss at home to Notre Dame, but they have won their last 7 straight games and have put themselves in good position to make the SEC Championship as they are the only undefeated team left in conference play. They were still figuring things out with Mike Elko in their first few games, but they have been clicking in their last 3 games as they have won all of those by 10+ points. Their offense has been great in those games as well, scoring 34+ points in all 3. They are going up against a South carolina team that is 4-3 this season and is 2-3 in the conference. They are coming off of a bye and won on the road 35-9 against Oklahoma in their last game, but Oklahoma is in the bottom 4 with only 1 SEC win this season. They have played in some close games against good opponents, losing to Alabama by 2 points on the road and losing to LSU at home by 3 points after blowing a big lead in that game, but they also have a 27-3 loss at home to Ole Miss. South Carolina has been great on defense all season and they are averaging 101.9 rushing yards allowed per game, 2.8 yards per carry, but Texas A&M has a very strong run game that is averaging 221.5 rushing yards per game as well as 5.3 yards per carry so they are going to have success on the ground and find ways to move the ball with their great running back Le'Veon Moss who is averaging 6.4 yards per carry this season with 119 rushing attempts. South Carolina has also been a more run heavy team this season, averaging 160.9 rushing yards per game, 3.7 yards per carry, and 44 rushing attempts per game. They have not been as efficient on the ground though and this Texas A&M team also has a very good run defense, allowing 104.5 rushing yards per game and 3.5 yards per carry. Texas A&M has the more reliable offense and they also have the better matchup in this game as their defense will be able to get the stops while South Carolina struggles to.
