FAU is coming into this game with a 2-0 record this season and they have been playing well. They opened the season with a 33 point win at a neutral location against Indiana State and they followed that up with a 50 point win at home against Coastal Georgia in their last game. They have not really been tested in these 1st 2 games though as 1 of their wins came against a team who is not in Division I while their other win came against a team that is just a shell of what they were last season, losing their best player. FAU is not the same team that they have been in recent years either. They had that great Final Four run 2 years ago and tried to recreate it last season, but now a lot of those players are gone from this team as well as the head coach Dusty May. This is their 1st season with John Jakus in charge and this is a completely different team that will have to earn their respect just like the old team had to. They are going up against a UCF team that is 2-0 this season and plays in a much stronger Big 12 conference. They were not great last season, but they were not awful either and will be looking to take a big step this season toward improving. They are already off to a good start as they are 2-0 and they have a quality win this season as well. They opened the season with a 3 point win at home against a ranked Texas A&M team and they followed that up with a 7 point win at home over Purdue Fort Wayne. Now they are going to be at home again against an untested FAU team, and UCF is going to get up for this game against another school from the state. UCF will cover the spread in this game.
