Belmont is coming into this game with a 1-1 record this season. They opened the season with a 23 point win over Maryville but they followed that up with a 2 point loss at home against Furman in their last game. They are going up against a Lipscomb team that is 2-1 this season and has been playing well. They opened the season with a 5 point win on the road against Duquesne and followed that up with a 16 point loss on the road against a ranked Arkansas team. Now they are coming off of a 9 point win at home against Wofford in their last game. Lipscomb was also a very good team last season, but Belmont is a team they have struggled against for years as they have seen them every season in recent years.
