Wright State is coming into this game with a 2-1 record this season and they have been playing well in the 1st season of their new head coach. They had some players leave the team from last season, but they are also returning some players which includes 2 of their starters who have had a big role in this offense in these first 3 games. They opened the season with a road loss against a ranked Kentucky team, but now they have won their last 2 straight games. They had a dominant performance at home against a team that does not play in Division I, but they are also coming off of a nice road win against Miami Ohio in their last game, beating them by 13 points on the road. Now they are going up against another MAC team in Toledo and they are coming into this game with a 1-1 record this season. Toledo was one of the better teams in the MAC last season and also had a good season overall, but they have lost a lot of their starting talent from last season so this is not really that same team that did so well last season. They are still trying to figure out the best new lineup for this team and will struggle against a Wright State team that is starting to heat up after getting tested by Kentucky in a tough environment in their 1st game. Toledo is coming off of a win against Marshall in their last game, winning on the road by 10 points, but they opened the season with a 10 point road loss to Troy as well. This is a game Wright State can win outright, but they will keep it close in a loss as well. Wright State will cover the spread in this game.
