The Commanders are coming into this game with a 7-3 record this season and they have been playing very well in their recent games. They have won 3 of their last 4 games and their only loss in that span was at home against the Steelers by 1 point. They are coming off of that 1 point loss at home to the Steelers in their last game and they only have 3 losses this season, but their other 2 losses were both on the road against the Buccaneers and the Ravens, losing both of those games by 7+ points. Their offense has been great all season, but this will be a game where they struggle to run the ball against this Eagles defense and that is going to hurt the Commanders offensively. Their defense has also been better in recent weeks, but they have allowed at least 22 points in each of their last 2 games and 1 of those was against a much weaker Giants offense. They are going up against an Eagles team that is 7-2 this season and after a rough start to the season, they are starting to surge in their recent games. They started the season 2-2 but they have won their last 5 straight games since then and all 5 of those wins have been by 4+ points. Their defense has also been great in these as they have allowed 17 points or less in 4 of their last 5 games as well as allowing 6 points or less in 2 of their last 4. Their offense has also been on fire, scoring 28+ points in their last 4 straight games and scoring 34+ points in 2 of their last 3. They also have an impressive road win against the Bengals in that span, winning 37-17 as they held one of the better offenses in the league to just 17 points in their own house. The Eagles struggled on defense in the 1st month of the season, but now they are getting things figured out with their new coordinators and their defense has been very good at stopping the run over the last month, one of their biggest problems to start the season. The Commanders will struggle to run the ball against this defense and that will slow down this offense as they have struggled against better defenses this season. The Commanders have not been stopping the run well in recent games though and that will be a key piece to this game as the Eagles have Saquon Barkley to run them down all night and he will only open things up in the passing game for Jalen Hurts who has plenty of weapons to play with and has been playing much better in recent games.
