Western Kentucky is coming into this game with an 8-4 record this season and they were 6-2 in the conference. They are going up against a Jacksonville State team that is 8-4 this season and was 7-1 in the conference. They have been playing very well recently as they have won 8 of their last 9 games and they have been dominant in these wins with 6 of those 8 wins coming by 10+ points. They won their last game at home against Sam Houston 21-11 and they have won their last 5 straight games there as well, winning 4 of those by 10+ points. They are coming off of the loss to Western Kentucky in their last game, but that game was on the road and JSU had already clinched a spot in this game so they did not need to win that game and show their hand. JSU has a very good run game that is averaging 257.4 rushing yards per game and 5.6 yards per carry so they are going to have success on the ground at home against a WKU defense that has been awful stopping the run, allowing 208.3 rushing yards per game and 4.8 yards per carry. WKU also has an air raid offense and a weak run game to go with it so it will be easier for this JSU defense to defend this offense at home. Jacksonville State is going to win this game on the ground and open up a lot of things in the passing game, WKU will not be able to compete with the way they can score at home.
