Tulane is coming into this game with a 9-3 record this season and they were 7-1 in the conference. They have been playing very well recently as they have won 8 of their last 9 games and their defense has been great in a lot of these games, but they are coming off of a 34-24 loss at home to Memphis in their last game and Memphis was able to shut them down on offense in that game. Tulane has been running the ball well all season, but Memphis was able to hold them to less than 60 rushing yards in that game and that will be the key to beating them here. Memphis also had success running the ball on this defense and Army has a very strong run game that will have success on the ground as well. They are going up against an Army team that is 10-1 this season and they were 8-0 in the conference. They have been a very similar team to Tulane this season with a very good run game and a great defense that has not been allowing many points. Their only loss this season came against Notre Dame in a 49-14 loss and they learned from that loss as well. Army has had no passing game all season, but after that loss to Notre Dame, they bounced back with a 29-24 win against UTSA in their last game and that was a game that Bryson Daily completed 10/17 passes for 190 passing yards. Army averages 312.5 rushing yards per game and 5.7 yards per carry so they will have success against this Tulane defense that is allowing 4.2 yards per carry this season, but their recent success in the passing game shows that they have some tricks up their sleeve here and will try to throw Tulane's defense off with some passing to win this game. The colder temps will also be a big factor here against a physical Army team that will be tough to bring down. Army will cover the spread in this game.
