Point Spread: -3.00 | -120.00 Ducks (ORE) (Home)
Result: Win
Penn State is coming into this game with an 11-1 record this season and they were 8-1 in the conference. They are coming off of a 44-7 win against Maryland in their last game and they have played very well on both offense and defense against weaker teams all season, but they have struggled in a few of their games against stronger opponents. They beat Maryland last week, but the week prior they only beat Minnesota by 1 points, 26-25. They also struggled against USC and Bowling Green this season, and they lost their biggest game of the season at home against Ohio State 20-13. They are going up against an Oregon team that is 12-0 this season and they were 9-0 in the conference. They are coming off of a 49-21 win against Washington in their last game and they have been dominant in most of their games this season. They struggled in their wins against Wisconsin and Ohio State, but they came away with the wins in the end and have blown out most of their other opponents. Both of these teams have very balanced offenses with accurate quarterbacks and defenses that have not been giving up many yards, but this game is going to be won on the line of scrimmage and that is where Oregon has the advantage here. Dillon Gabriel is also the more trusted quarterback and Penn State is only playing in this game because Ohio State lost to Michigan as Penn State has a history of flopping in these big games. Dan Lanning and the players from last season are also very hungry after coming so close last season so they are going to get up for this game to make a splash their 1st season in the Big 10. Oregon will cover the spread in this game.
