Sacred Heart is coming into this game with a 15-17 record this season and they are 10-10 in the conference. They have not been playing poorly recently, especially since 1 of their 2 losses in their last 5 games was a very close loss by 2 points. Their defense was awful in those last 2 games of the season, but they tightened up in their last game as they allowed 58 points and have now allowed 62 points or less in 3 of their last 5 games. They are going up against a Merrimack team that is 17-14 this season and they are 14-6 in the conference. They have been much better in their recent games as they have won their last 2 as well as 3 of their last 4 games, but they have also lost 4 of their last 7 games and have not been playing their best over the last month. This is also going to be their 1st game in the conference tournament and they last played on March 6 so they could be feeling some rust in this game and get off to a slower start. Sacred Heart is also a team that Merrimack has struggled with all season, beating them 66-65 on the road earlier this season and then losing their last meeting at home 60-59. Merrimack has not been a great shooting team all season as well and Sacred Heart knows how to play them tough. Sacred Heart also has a big advantage at the rim with their rebounding.
