MACK'S NCAAB ** R16 GAME OF THE YEAR!
(NCAAB) Creighton vs. Tennessee,
Point Spread: 3.50 | -106.00 Creighton (Away)
Result: Loss
Tennessee does not have a great history of going far in this national tournament in several decades. Creighton, however, has had better success in the national tournament overall and have experience at this stage in the tournament. Tennessee struggled in their game against Texas and blew a large lead only to squeak out a no cover win. Creighton showed the experience they have in their double over time win against a good Oregon team. This is the type of experience that the Bluejays have in the tournament over the years. Creighton loves to run and gun and put up the threes, and even though Tennessee has great defense and can defend the interior well, they struggle defending the 3 point line. Barnes has gone 4-16 SU in this tournament and has not had success in the round of 16, losing both times the Vols were favorites, in 2023 and 2019. Tennessee also did not shoot well in their last round, making less threes than they are used too, so expect more regression from them. Creighton have such a potent offense and have several players that can shoot so the Vols will have their hands full trying to cover these players. The Bluejays allow opponents to shoot just 41% from the field, and to shoot 31% from behind the arc. Look for Creighton to have a better game as they got their big scare game out of the way. They will approach this game with seriousness, tighten up on their defense, and of course on offense, they will shine today. Creighton have covered both their games in this tournament while the Vols have covered one game in their last four.

Creighton are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games. Tennessee are 9-2 SU in their last 11 games. Creighton are 5-1 ATS as a neutral court underdog of 6 points or less or pick. Creighton are 2-0 ATS when seeded 4 or higher in the NCAA tournament. Creighton are 1-0 ATS in the last few seasons in the "sweet 16" round of the NCAA tournament. Tennessee are 2-5 ATS this season in all neutral court games. Tennessee are 6-15 ATS since 1997 when seeded 4 or higher in the NCAA tournament. The Vols are 2-4 ATS since 1997 in the "sweet 16" round of the NCAA tournament.

Best bet: take the points with Creighton.
