MACK'S NCAAB FINAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!
(NCAAB) Purdue vs. Connecticut,
Point Spread: -6.50 | -112.00 Connecticut (Home)
Result: Win
The Huskies have beaten teams in this tournament by double digits. They are favored in this game by 6.5 points against a good Purdue team with the best player. UConn have been the team all season, and in this tournament, have been a force. Double digit wins are hard to do, let alone against every opponent in this tournament. They have the experience, the championship pedigree, and frankly the adaptability to beat every team they face. When a team can adjust their game and still win by double digits, that is an incredible feat. If a team is stuck playing one way, like Purdue, what happens when they can’t make the adjustments. To see UConn play is one thing, but to be in the game against them, is another problem. The Huskies have been in this spot, Purdue hasn’t. This game will be about experience and adaptability over one player. UConn has the players that can block Edey in Clingan and Johnson, and they can get down low to get those rebounds that Edey likes to get. If Edey clogs up the middle in the paint, UConn can shoot from the perimeter and can pass the ball effectively, with patience, until they get their shot. UConn has more avenues to shoot from than Purdue. They have the better coach and they have depth all the way to the bench. Purdue will lose when they get into foul trouble. If Purdue gets behind in this game, their inability to generate extra possessions will pose a huge problem for them against a team that is excellent at getting rebounds. Purdue is in the bottom 20 in turnover percentage. When Edey gets beaten on the boards, they will fall behind further. UConn hardly misses their shots and they can hit their 3’s from any point in the gym. The Huskies protect the ball better and frankly, this team overall is relentless. They won’t quit until they have won this game. They are determined, probably more so this season, to quell the critics that said this team wasn’t as good as last year's team. Purdue’s story is wonderful, but in this game it's UConn or pass. The Huskies should win by more than the spread.

Best bet: lay the points with UConn.
