Joe Ryan has pitched a cleaner game than Castillo who has given up a ton of walks in his last few starts. His ERA is better and he will get the run support from the Twins powerful offense. Castillo started out well but now he is struggling in spots and he is due for some regression. He’s already allowed 9 earned runs, 6 walks and 3 homeruns in his last two starts. He didn’t pitch as deep and he only struck out 4 batters so his strikeout ratio is declining. Ryan is pitching better than Castillo right now and even with his 3.31 ERA, he only has a .959 WHIP so he’s not putting as much traffic on base as Castillo is and he's striking out more batters. Take the better team in the Twins who have already beaten the Mariners in this series.
