- Oregon State obviously has not been playing great and with nothing to really play for there is certainly some possible checkout concern.

- With that said, the Beavers should have a great matchup on the ground this week even without Jam Griffin. The passing attack is what has held the offense back so far this year, so if they can succeed without it this week it would be great. They did finally bench Gevani McCoy last week against Cal as well. Ben Gulbranson provides much more of a threat through the air. Not sure who will get the start as of Thursday.

- Defense has definitely been a struggle for the Beavers, especially through the air. Which does not matchup well against San Jose State. Luckily San Jose St. has also had their struggles at QB recently as they went to their 3rd stinger in their last game against Fresno. They will probably still see success through the air, but they certainly are not firing on all cylinders either.
