California Golden Bears (ML) ..

Although neither of these two teams have been very good this season, I firmly believe that the Golden Bears are the better team between these two sides. California is led by an absolute beast in Andrej Stojakovic. Yes, he's the son of former NBA player Peja Stojaković. Despite the struggles this season, the Golden Bears have three other double digit scorers to go along with Andrej. This is going to help throughout the early stages of this tournament in my opinion.

On the other hand, Virginia Tech only has one double digit scorer on the whole team this season. Tobi Lawal averages 12.2 PPG and that's their top scorer by nearly three points. Now, that does show you that the Hokies have depth and will play more than 10 guys. However, I don't believe that the inexperienced and youth of VTech is going to do it any favors in the tournament. The Hokies simply don't score enough and won't have enough to beat the offense of the Golden Bears today. Cal also seeks revenge after losing by three at home in January.
