Before the season began, I didn't have much hope for La Salle. The Explorers have become very guard heavy with injuries making them change how they play and therefore, they've had trouble winning many games in the A10. Even though La Salle does have some strong players, shooting 41.3% from the field is not going to do them wonders in this tournament.
On the other hand, Massachusetts had a bit of an underwhelming season in my books. The Minutemen should be able to dominate the glass here today, especially the offensive glass where they do a lot of their damage. That will create a lot of second chance looks and ultimately lead UMASS to a victory. The Minutemen have the guard play to match the Explorers and UMASS should dominate again, just like they did in both reg season matchups (78-55 & 82-60.)
