I'm adding a bet on the under at 8.5 in tonight's Padres-Braves game in SD. Young left-hander Ryan Weathers has looked comfortable in two starts this season after missing nearly all of 2022 and trailing off down the stretch in his rookie season the prior year.

The Padres lineup, meanwhile, is hitting just .239 with a .305 OBP against left-handers, with just 19 walks and 24 extra-base hits in 218 ABs this year. They'll face lefty Max Fried, who injured his hamstring on Opening Day and is making his return from the 15-day IL. I predict he will look sharp on Monday (14-7 with a 2.48 ERA and 1.01 WHIP in 2022).

Both of these teams' bullpens are ranked in the top ten in ERA and WHIP, too.
