I'm backing José Quintana and the Metropolitans on Thursday at Busch Stadium!

Since making his season debut in late June, the Mets starter has been locked in, surrendering just ten earned runs and zero HRs in five starts (29.2 IP). His opponent, Adam Wainwright, has been roughed up this season. In his last start, he lasted just one inning, giving up nine hits and eight runs to Kansas City. He gave up seven runs on nine hits in three innings in his previous start vs. Colorado, as well. He has surrendered six or more runs in five of his last seven appearances.

The Mets had Wednesday off and were able to save face in their last series, winning two of three vs. the Pirates after their nightmarish series vs. the Braves. Winners of three of their last four games (6.5 runs/game in their last four), the Mets should have enough offensive firepower Thursday to pick up the victory with Quintana on the mound.
