After holding the Yankees to one run with ten strikeouts in nine innings, he beat the red-hot Dodgers, surrendering three runs in six innings. He also shut out the Phillies in eight innings earlier this month. He'll face a San Diego offense that's been painfully inconsistent given its collection of talent, hitting .228 BA/.320 OBP/.394 SLG/.714 OPS vs. right-handed pitchers with a 24.8% strikeout rate.

Seth Lugo has been a steady presence in the Padres' rotation, holding five of his last six opponents to two or fewer earned runs. He's accomplished that in 13 of his 19 starts and has only given up more than three earned runs in four outings this year. Miami is scoring 3.7 runs per game since the All-Star break, losing 23 of 34 games...
