Milwaukee has won five straight, sweeping Texas and a two-game series with Minnesota. It has responded nicely after getting swept by the Dodgers.

San Diego's uneven play has continued, as it's 5-5 in its last ten and 18-20 since the All-Star break. The Padres, 26-34 SU on the road in 2023, have a .310 OBP in August, their lowest on-base percentage of any month this year. That could be problematic against Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff, who hasn't allowed more than four hits in any of his five starts this season.

Padres starter Yu Darvish has suffered back-to-back defeats, giving up four runs on eight hits vs. Baltimore and four runs on nine hits in just five frames vs. Arizona. I'm predicting another sub-par performance from the right-hander on Friday.
