Carlos Rodón has not been a disappointment since signing with New York this offseason, missing most of the season with a forearm injury and underperforming in the majority of the starts he’s made. The veteran lefty has a 9.64 ERA and a 1.61 WHIP in his two road starts and a 14.14 ERA and 2.00 WHIP in his two day game outings. In his August 1 start vs. Tampa, he gave up four runs and two HRs in four innings.

The Yankees offense has shown some signs of life recently, but there’s a reason why the Rays are in the title hunt and New York is fighting to get back to .500. Tampa, 70-39 straight-up as favorites and 43-23 straight-up at home, will outclass New York on Sunday at Tropicana Field.
