This is bound to be a low-scoring battle. The Miners' defense led Conference USA in yards allowed last season, as it was great at getting into the backfield. The secondary has a lot of hitters and experience, as well. The Northwestern offense will look to run the ball and control the clock at home in what may be one of its only winnable games all season. The Wildcats' defense stuffed the run against the Scarlet Knights, allowing only 285 total yards of offense. UTEP will take its shots, but most of its drives will end in punts or field goals.
