San Diego vs. Chicago White Sox (Over 8.5)
(MLB) San Diego vs. Chi White Sox,
Total: 8.50 | -112.00 Over
Result: Loss
I'm betting on the over at 8.5 in Saturday's San Diego-Chicago interleague game!

The Padres have been putting runs on the scoreboard as they continue to hunt down a playoff spot, scoring 22 runs in their last four games and 54 in their previous ten. I'm betting on a solid outing from Mike Clevinger, but I would be surprised if San Diego doesn't score at least three runs off him and the White Sox pen (4.99 ERA). There could be a letdown if the Friars' playoff dreams die on Friday, but even so, these are professional hitters with pride. In the last four games, Juan Soto has gone yard three times, and Manny Machado has seven RBI. Xander Bogaerts has also been hot this month (.419 BA/.456 OBP/.699 SLG/1.155 OPS).

The White Sox should also be able to contribute to the total against Michael Wacha. He's been consistent this season but hasn't pitched this many innings in a season since 2017. Considering he's been prone to the long ball recently, I like Chicago's odds of knocking him around for four-plus runs.
