The Tigers are all-in on Tarik Skubal and so am I, at least for Friday's action. The Cy Young candidate has been electric at home and holds his opponents under .200 in night games (7-1 with a 2.65 ERA and 0.96 WHIP in 11 starts). He has held Bobby Witt Jr. in check (3-for-19) and has racked up 32 Ks in 107 career ABs versus the current KC lineup.

Skubal may be the defining factor but does Detroit have enough offensive firepower to outscore the Royals? I believe so. The Tigers are slashing .242/.306/.436/.741 this month, scoring 4.7 runs per game. If they can force Cole Ragans from the game early, I like their odds against the Royals' bullpen (28th in WHIP).
