Zac Gallen (3.36 FIP) will bounce back from a poor performance vs. the Dodgers, giving the Diamondbacks a significant pitching advantage against Hayden Birdsong (5.14 FIP), who has a high walk rate and doesn't last deep into his starts. Arizona's bats are the real difference-maker, though (135 wRC+ in August).

I value a wager on Arizona to win by more than one run at +120 odds. It played excellent baseball in August and is in a battle for playoff positioning.
