Denver had five double-digit losses last season, four of them on the road (losses of 25 and 50). Bo Nix could be a player down the road, but in hostile territory in his NFL debut, he will be in trouble. Mike Macdonald will transform the Hawks' defense, which added quality players, including DT Johnathan Hankins, LB Jerome Baker, LB Tyrel Dodson, S Rayshawn Jenkins and S K’Von Wallace. They also drafted a promising DT in Texas Longhorn Byron Murphy.

The Seahawks' offense will be explosive with Geno Smith tossing the pigskin to DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. As a proud Spartan, I'm confident in Kenneth Walker, and like Zach Charbonnet as a pass-catcher and complementary running back. New OC Ryan Grubb was excellent at the University of Washington — expect more big-play aerial attacks from Smith in 2024-25, who was the best deep ball passer in the NFL last year (perfect 99.9 PFF rating).

I would bet this up to 6.5 but if you can get 5.5 without paying up more than a little, I recommend taking that spread.
