These offenses are going to put on a show indoors tonight in Detroit.
The high-powered Lions offense is going to shred a Rams defense that lost Aaron Donald, safety Jordan Fuller and cornerback Darious Williams, who recently landed on the IR. Defensive coordinator Raheem Morris departed to take the HC job in Atlanta, too. LA ranked 20th in EPA last season.
The Rams should be more explosive this season and I expect Matthew Stafford to play well tonight in his return to Detroit. That playoff game was closer than it seemed... Kyren Williams' emergence makes LA more balanced offensively, and we already know the passing game is legit with Stafford throwing the football to Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp. The Detroit pass defense ranked 25th in dropback EPA last season and doesn't project to be very improved this year.
