USF vs. USM (Under 57.5)
(NCAAF) Bulls (USF) vs. Golden Eagles (USM),
Total: 57.50 | -108.00 Under
Result: Loss
Southern Miss scored zero points vs. Kentucky, rushing for 5 yards on 12 carries, and wasn't dominant last week vs. SE Louisiana. Like last season, when they intercepted 14 passes and recovered 10 fumbles, the Bulls have proven to be adept at forcing turnovers (two INTs and three fumbles recovered) with a bend-but-don't-break mindset. USM has struggled with efficiency in the passing game in the past few seasons, and Rodemaker hasn't proven to be an upgrade (60.8% CMP%). With a career completion percentage under 60 percent, he's unlikely to put enough pressure on the South Florida defense to keep Saturday's game close.

I don't believe either team's passing game should warrant a wager on the total to go over 57 points. Both Rodemaker and Byrum Brown (50.9% CMP%) are inaccurate and don't possess the downfield accuracy to put pressure on defenses. USF will be comfortable running the football and draining the clock on the road, especially with the way it has played defensively. The Bulls are top 50 in total yards allowed and passing yards allowed, ranking 59th in rushing yards surrendered. They could force Rodemaker into a costly decision or two, especially if the Golden Eagles' ground game struggles to move the chains again.
