CLE CAVALIERS -4.5: BEST BET NBA
(NBA) Lakers (LAL) vs. Cavaliers (CLE),
Point Spread: -4.50 | -105.00 Cavaliers (CLE) (Home)
Result: Win
Are the Cavaliers being disrespected? It certainly feels that way despite the team's impressive start to the season.

Cleveland is 4-0 SU and ATS, ranking second in offensive rating and fourth in defensive rating, yet all the contender talk in the East seems to center on Philly, New York and Milwaukee...

Los Angeles is also off to a hot start but looks can be deceiving. The Lakers rank 27th in defensive effective field goal percentage allowed and are last in transition defense, allowing 1.49 points per play in transition. They have also been fortunate from long range, knocking down 40 percent of their threes, as Austin Reaves is shooting 52% and Rui Hachimura is shooting 62%. Those numbers aren't going to hold up for long.

On top of that, this matchup is going to be challenging for LA, as Anthony Davis will have to contend with Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. Davis has been phenomenal so far, averaging 32.8 points and 12.0 rebounds with a career-high 1.28 points per shot attempt. It's been necessary though, as LeBron has struggled (LA is +12.5 points better with him off the court than with him on).

I don't believe Los Angeles' hot shooting from three-point range is sustainable and expect Mobley and Allen will do a fair job limiting Davis on Wednesday. The Lakers' undefeated ATS streak will end tonight in The Land.
