TEX LONGHORNS -2: NCAAB
(NCAAB) Longhorns (TEX) vs. Buckeyes (OSU),
Point Spread: -2.00 | -108.00 Longhorns (TEX) (Away)
Result: Loss
Last year’s leading scorers Max Abmas and Dylan Disu are gone, but UT brought in guard Tramon Mark (Arkansas) and forward Arthur Kaluma (Kansas State), who will fill in nicely alongside returning interior presence Kadin Shedrick and five-star frosh Tre Johnson. I also like the additions of Indiana State transfers Jayson Kent and Julian Larry and Oregon State transfer Jordan Pope. All five are experienced players who averaged double-digit points last season.

That depth will be the difference against an Ohio State team that added some quality transfers of its own, but lacks shooting, as none of its newcomers shot over 32% from deep last season. OSU ranked 317th nationally in Rim-and-3 Rate last season — this year's team doesn't look capable of improving much on that stat.

I like Texas' upside more this season and feel confident the Horns are at least three points better than the Buckeyes on opening day!
