At plus odds, I'm feeling the value in the total in the Giants-Padres game at 7.5 runs scored. San Diego SP Michael King is off to a disappointing start with his new club, but the former Yankee posted a 3.04 xFIP as a starter with NY last year. He dealt with control issues in his last outing, walking seven Giants on March 31, but that was an abnormality (BB/9 rate of 2.85 in 2023). He was also in the 88th percentile for K% last season. Fresh off a six-strikeout performance against SF, I'm betting he turns in a quality start on Saturday night in the Bay.

King's counterpart, Keaton Winn, has some nasty stuff. His splitter is especially devastating, and he throws it over 50 percent of the time. While he gave up three runs to the Dodgers in his last start, I'm wagering that he does a better job silencing the Pads' all-or-nothing lineup tonight.
