Oakland vs. Texas (Rangers -1.5)
(MLB) Oakland vs. Texas,
Point Spread: -1.50 | -104.00 Texas (Home)
Result: Loss
I like Texas' odds of covering the run line on Tuesday with Nathan Eovaldi on the mound. The veteran right-hander is off to a superb start (two earned runs and eight total hits with 11 Ks in 13.0 IP) and held the A's scoreless with 15 Ks in his two outings vs. them last season (11.1 IP).

The Rangers' offense shouldn't find it too challenging to provide him with enough run support to cover the 1.5-run line against southpaw Alex Wood. They're slashing .296 BA/.371 OBP/.426 SLG/.797 OPS vs. left-handers this season and Wood has not performed well in 2024, surrendering nine earned runs on 13 hits in 8.1 total innings.

After taking it on the chin the last two games against the Astros, I'm willing to wager the Rangers take out their frustrations on the Athletics on Tuesday at home.
