The Dodgers RL has betting value in Wednesday afternoon’s game in Minnesota.
Twins SP Chris Paddack is in for a challenge against an LA lineup that’s as powerful as any in the sport. The ex-Padre is 1-4 with an ERA of 7.03 in seven career starts versus the Dodgers and has lost three straight versus Los Angeles. His stuff is too vanilla for a lineup as talented as the Dodgers’. Paddack gave up six hits, two walks, and a home run with just two Ks in his first start (4.0 IP vs. Milwaukee), which was only his eighth big league appearance since 2021.
LA SP Bobby Miller got off to a fantastic start to 2024, fanning a career-high 11 batters in six dominant innings vs. St. Louis (zero runs on two hits). He may have been pressing too much in his second start against the Cubs, as the Elk Grove, Ill. native was pitching on his birthday in front of family and friends at Wrigley. He picked up where left off vs. the Cardinals, striking out the side on just 15 pitches in the 1st inning, but unraveled in the 2nd inning. In its first true road game of the season, LA was off its A-game that day, but I don’t anticipate that will be the case Wednesday in Minnesota.
Bet on the Dodgers to smoke the Twins, covering the 1.5-run line!
