Orioles SP Grayson Rodriguez (2.19 ERA and 1.05 WHIP) has fanned 16 batters in 12.1 IP this season, building off of a strong close to his rookie season (2.64 ERA and 0.91 WHIP in five August starts and 2.17 ERA and 1.28 WHIP in five September starts). The highly-touted prospect is turning into the "real deal." Behind him, the O's bullpen (1.78 ERA and 0.88 WHIP) will close the door on the Red Sox lineup.

Boston SP Garrett Whitlock is also off to a fine start to 2024 (0.96 ERA and 1.18 WHIP). He has racked up 12 strikeouts in 9.0 IP this season vs. the Mariners and Angels. His career ERA vs. Baltimore is 1.50 and he has fanned 26 O's in 23.0 IP. The Sox bullpen is strong enough to get the job done, too.
