I'm wagering on two dogs tomorrow: LA at +140 and AZ at +152.

The Angels have significant value, in my opinion, after winning two of the first three games against the Rays, including Wednesday's game. They stormed back with two runs in the ninth to win, taking advantage of a Tampa Bay bullpen that sports the highest ERA (6.23) in MLB.

TB's Thursday SP, Ryan Pepiot, handled Colorado but has otherwise been sub-par in 2024 vs. Texas (six runs on four hits and four walks) and San Francisco (four runs on five hits, including two HRs). With Mike Trout (MLB-leading 8 HRs) leading the way, LA's lineup has some upside...

I'm also wagering with the belief that LA SP Griffin Canning is due for a better performance. The fifth-year pro is off to a rough start but he was solid on the road last year and pitched well in his two outings versus Tampa (three runs on five hits with 12 Ks in 8.1 combined innings).

With the Angels' momentum, that's enough for me to take a swing at the LA ML at +140! (playable to +125)
