This Cougars offense has been having a terrible season so far. They did manage to hang 33 on doormat Rice but they haven’t scored a point yet in a Big 12 game, losing to Cincinnati 34-0 and Iowa State 20-0. Add in 7 vs UNLV and 12 against Oklahoma, and you have a team that has averaged less than 5 points per game in their four losses. The reason to hope for Horned Frog fans is the fact their defense has been very good and held everyone but Cincy well under their season average.

The TCU defense has been nothing to write home about but they should have an easier time with this moribound Cougars offense. I look for the Frogs to do much of the heavy lifting in this one but, this is a Houston defense that does a good job of limiting explosive plays so I think they’ll have to turn to more runs than usual and move the ball steadily down the field.
