A's over Mets- It was three years ago when I went to see the Mets #1 Draft pick Zack Wheeler (3-7, 4.98 ERA) throw for New York's Triple-A squad in Las Vegas and I was totally underwhelmed by his performance. Now, it is three years later and after surgery I haven't noticed much improvement. Wheeler has dropped five straight decisions and is winless in his last eight starts. His mound opponent Sean Manaea (8-5, 3.68) has lasted seven innings in each of his last three starts nad owns a 2.67 ERA over his last four starts. Add that Wheeler is 1-1 with a 9.39 ERA in two career starts against Oakland. Take the ATHLETICS!
