ASA PLAY 8* ON Los Angeles Dodgers Money Line (-) vs Atlanta Braves, Saturday at 4:38 PM ET
The Dodgers staved off elimination with a big win last night and, per our computer math model, they will repeat that feat on Saturday afternoon to force a Game 7 in what has been a great post-season in both this NLCS and ALCS (Game 7 tonight). In this NLCS match-up, we like the fact that the Dodgers, despite not hitting well against Max Fried in the first meeting in this series, do have a .550 slugging percentage versus southpaws in this post-season. Now they get a second shot at Fried and he did give up 4 earned runs in 4 innings against the Marlins in NLDS action. As for the Dodgers, Walker Buehler gets the start here and his recent bout with wildness might actually be a good thing. Yes, he walked too many in the first meeting with the Braves but he still had a successful overall outing and the Braves can be coerced into chasing pitches. As the designated home team for this game (last at bat) that is another edge for the Dodgers here in what could be a tighter game. Since the bottom of the 9th of Game 2 when the Dodgers almost came back for a shocking win, LA has outscored the Braves by a combined 28 to 16. Even though they are still down 3-2 in this series, you can feel the momentum shift that has taken place ever since that big bottom of the 9th in Game 2. Look for the Dodgers to ride that momentum again here in Game 6...and we will too! Bet the Los Angeles Dodgers on the money line in afternoon action Saturday.
