After getting shutout for the 16th time and now losers of three straight the San Diego Padres opened as small favorite over the St. Louis Cardinals. Think about it, the Cardinals are 74-32 in the last 106 meeting, they are 6-2 in their last eight road games and yet they opened the underdog here. Granted the Padres have won seven of their last 10 at home but the key is their starter Tyron Ross (9-10, 2.65 ERA) who has held opponents to only 119 hits in 143 innings. Tonight the Padres need to score some runs to secure the victory. Take SAN DIEGO!
