Mets over Giants- The Mets at four games under .500 still believe that they have a post-season shot but failed to make any moves at the trading deadline and the Giants who dealt for Jake Peavy last week remained pat as they chase the Dodgers for the top spot in the West. Ryan Vogelsong (5-8, 3.94 ERA) has won just one of his last nine starts owns a 5.44 ERA in nine road starts this season. New York's Jon Niese (5-6, 3.23) lost both starts since returning from the disabled list and has won just one of his last 10 starts. In his one appearance against the Giants this season Niese went seven innings surrendering only two runs and five hits. Take the METS!
