#475/476 ASA PLAY ON 8* Under 44.5 Points – Indianapolis Colts vs Dallas Cowboys, Sunday at 8:15 PM ET - The Colts offense has been struggling to say the least. They’ve scored more than 17 points only once in their last 6 games and that was vs Las Vegas who ranks 27th in total defense and 26th in scoring defense. For the season they are averaging under 5.0 YPP (27th) and scoring only 15.8 PPG (30th). They are averaging just 1.4 points per drive this season (31st) and they are far from explosive in the passing game with almost 80% of their pass attempts coming within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage. Don’t expect them to get well offensively here vs a Dallas defense that ranks as the #1 DVOA per Football Outsiders. The Boys are also #1 in sack percentage and facing an immobile QB (Matt Ryan) and an offensive line that is last in the NFL in sacks per game allowed. Indy’s strength of their team is absolutely their defense allowing only 4.9 YPP (5th). The Dallas offense has been humming but they’ve played 5 straight below average to poor defensive teams all ranked 21st or lower in defensive DVOA. They’ve faced only 3 defenses this season ranked in the top 10 (total defense) and Dallas has averaged 15 PPG in those games. With Dallas favored by 10 or 10.5 here, the projected final is around 28-17. We don’t see either team reaching those numbers and we’ll take the Under on Sunday Night.
