Orioles over Tigers- These two clubs won their respective divisions last season with the Orioles taking the Tigers out three-games-to-none in the second round of the AL playoffs last season. If the playoffs started today both these squads would be on the outside looking in as the second half starts tonight. The are both 44-44 as Detroit starts Anibal Sanchez (8-7, 4.63 ERA) and enter this game on three straight losses while Baltimore starts (Ubaldo Jimenez (7-4, 2.81) has struggled against the Tigers going 5-9 with a 4.93 ERA but that was with Michael Cabrera causing plenty of damage hitting .350 and now he's out. Sanchez has been good enough but the Tigers are struggling. Take BALTIMORE!
