Marlins over Mets- The Mets have pulled into a virtual tie with the Nationals in the NL East and much of it is not so much because of their fabulous pitching but the resurgence of Lucas Duda who has nine homers in his last eight games and now has 21 on the year. New York off their three0game sweep of the Nationals has won six of their last eight and finally have a major league line-up with the addition of Uribe, Kelly Johnson and Cespedes. The Mets' Bartolo Colon (9-10, 4.96 ERA) who started the year 7-0 now has a seven start winless streak but is 2-1 with a 3.48 ERA against Miami this season. The Marlins will start Tom Koehler (8-7, 3.38) a Bronx native has an ERA of 2.32 at home but is 1-4 lifetime against New York. I expect the Mets to be drained after Sunday's emotional win over Washington and for the Marlins to eek out a win here. Take MIAMI!
