Nationals over Giants- Four weeks ago the Nationals when the Mets started their surge they said 'the division is ours to lose' and they are doing just that. Washington has now lost four straight and are 10 -18 since the All-Star break and trail the Mets by 4.5 games in the NL East. San Francisco's second-half move has only 2.5 games in back of the Dodgers in the West. Max Scherzer was pasted last night and now the Nats turn to Gio Gonzalez (9-4, 3.50 ERA) who is 5-0 with a 1.48 ERA in his last eight starts and is 3-2 with a 2.40 career ERA against the Giants. Jake Peavy (2-5, 3.75) San Francisco's 'weak-link' in their rotation is 4-6 with a 3.79 ERA against Washington lifetime. Take the NATIONALS!
