Nationals over Mets- The Nationals have now won five straight and have cut the Mets lead to 4-games in the East as in appears pennant pressure is starting to affect the kids for Gotham. New York's back end pitching has been their weak point all season and has never been more apparent then it is now as the lowly Marlins had two walk-off wins the past two days. The Mets' Jonathon Niese (8-10, 4.17 ERA) has had three straight horrible outings surrendering 18 runs in 16 innings. Washington will start Max Scherzer (11-11, 2.89) who himself has struggled his last five starts but he has 18 strikeouts in 14 innings against the over-matched New Yorkers. Bryce Harper is on a tear once again and the Nationals have their mojo working. Take WASHINGTON!
