Mariners over Rays- The Mariners have now dropped three straight and are against the Rays who are playing their best ball of the season winning eight of their last 10. Seattle's biggest issue is their bullpen which allowed nine runs in those three losses. Nathan Karns (5-2, 4.09 ERA) who spent 2014 and 2015 with Tampa Bay will be making his first start against his former teammates. Drew Smyly (2-7, 4.94) has been so bad he was giving a week off after getting 'clocked' in his three previous starts. He has allowed 17 runs on 25 hits in 15 innings his last three starts and was ripped for six runs on 10 hits in Seattle in early May. Take SEATTLE!
