Cavaliers (+) over Panthers- Virginia opened the season with three straight losses before putting two wins together over Central Michigan and their first road win after 17 failures over Duke. It was the Cavaliers defense that turned the tide last week against Duke getting five interceptions and the emergence of quarterback Kurt Benkert who holds the school record of 1,455 yards passing in a the first five games.
