The 10-0 Florida Gators are off to their best start since 2005. All of Florida's victories have been by double-digits. The seventh-ranked Gators are one of just five remaining unbeaten college basketball teams. 

North Carolina is not playing as well as Florida. The Tar Heels are 6-4. Their inconsistency reflects their record. 

The Tar Heels can match Florida's top-20 offense. But the Gators hold a strong defensive edge and rebounding advantage. 

North Carolina ranks 343rd defensively, surrendering 80 points per game. Florida gives up 15 points fewer per game than North Carolina. The Gators have held their last six opponents to less than 70 points. They have the defense to keep North Carolina star RJ Davis, the reigning ACC Player of the Year, in check. 

Florida is averaging 11.1 3-pointers in its past seven games. North Carolina ranks 260th in 3-point defense. The Tar Heels are vulnerable on the boards, too, because of their frequent four-guard lineup. 

This game is being played in Charlotte, N.C. So North Carolina will have an in-state home edge. Florida, though, is 5-0 in road/neutral site games. The Gators just defeated Arizona State by 16 points in Atlanta this past Saturday. 

North Carolina already has suffered defeats to Kansas, Auburn, Michigan State and Alabama. The Tar Heels' losses to Auburn and Alabama were by 13 and 15 points. Florida is the same caliber as Auburn and Alabama.
